Dispatch Operative (12 hours)

The site specialises in production of outbound and inbound document services. The site contains printing, mailing and warehousing capability for the purposes of outbound mail and postal and electronic receipt, capture, validation, and document storage for the purposes of inbound mail. In addition, Production Services, Finance, and IT functions reside on the site. Both Inbound and Outbound operations provide services for multiple customers.

As a Despatch operator, your main duties would include:

• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles, moving consumables and items of mail packed on pallets and Yorkes from the unchecked mail area to their designated checked mail lanes.
• Stacking goods and consumables in the correct storage bays
• Checking loads are secure and stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks, for example recharging the truck's battery, checking trucks for damage and conducting forklift truck safety inspection checks.
• Helping the goods in team to load and unload trucks where necessary performing other warehouse tasks like taking incoming goods from couriers.
• Other tasks will include Printing labels for our production floor teams, using online systems to produce invoices and end of day reports, using MI system to monitor the progress of jobs at all stages, conducting consumables count and updating excel spreadsheet.

Skills/Experience:

• Previous Warehouse/Despatch/Production experience
• IT Literate & competent in the use of MS Excel
• Counter balance forklift truck licence is desirable
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre items, such as boxes, of up to 22K

HOURS:

Week 1 Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, contracted hours, working 7.00am to 7.00pm, working 11 hours per shift.
Week 2 Monday and Tuesday, working 7.00am to 7.00pm, working 11 hours per shift
