Stores Operator (FLT License Required)

- £13.80 per hour, plus £8 per day meal allowance (if working over 6 hours)
- Monday – Thursday: 06:30 – 15:00, Friday: 06:30 – 12:00

As a Stores Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of stock. This role involves working closely with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure accurate and timely movement of goods while maintaining excellent stock control standards.
Essential Requirements
- Valid external Forklift Truck (FLT) license
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, process them on IFS, and store them accurately
- Pick orders correctly from stock using picking lists and update IFS accordingly
- Return stock to appropriate locations and ensure system updates are completed
- Prepare and package goods for dispatch, ensuring they are ready for timely collection
- Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
- Identify and report stock discrepancies and assist with resolving queries
- Support the handling of supplier returns
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-controlled stock environment
Skills and Competencies
- Valid FLT licence (essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Flexible approach with willingness to work overtime on short notice
- Proficient in computer systems with excellent attention to detail
