We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to ensure the efficient and cost-effective supply of goods and services to support production and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full purchasing cycle from requisition to delivery, including expediting and resolving supplier issues.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships focused on improving quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
• Conduct market analysis and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure best value.
• Place purchase orders in line with production schedules and planned demand.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
• Obtain quotations for materials and services as required by internal stakeholders.
• Resolve invoice and delivery discrepancies promptly to support company cash flow.
• Produce reports and maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier files.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to all safety and quality procedures.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Minimum 5 years’ purchasing experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Detail-oriented, numerate, and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Team player with a flexible, proactive approach.

Desirable:

• Experience with MRP systems.
• Formal qualifications in business, supply chain, or engineering.
