Production Engineer
• Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
• Salary: up to £45,000
• Hours: 40 hrs | Monday – Friday

A leading manufacturer of electrical control panels is seeking an experienced Production
Engineer to join its team.
Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will oversee panel production operations, ensuring
quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery in line with technical specifications and project
requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate a team of panel builders and wirers to deliver production targets
• Review electrical schematics, drawings, and BOMs to ensure build accuracy
• Drive process improvements to optimise throughput, quality, and cost efficiency
• Conduct in-process and final inspections in line with industry standards
• Liaise with design, procurement, and projects teams to resolve technical issues
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, ISO9001, and company standards
Skills & Experience:
• Proven background in electrical panel manufacturing and team leadership
• In-depth understanding of control panel wiring, components, and production
processes
• Ability to interpret complex technical documentation
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence
Qualifications:
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
• HNC/HND in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation/Maintenance
• C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing
