Contract Panel Wirer

About the Role
Our client, a leading engineering company, is seeking a skilled Contract Panel Wirer to join their team. This role is pivotal in wiring assemblies for electricity transmission in accordance with prescribed standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Wiring of assemblies based on Schematic Drawings and Wiring Diagrams.
- Installing components per Bill of Materials (BOM), Equipment List, and General Arrangement.
- Preparing, crimping, terminating, and loom wiring cables accurately.
- Completing wiring tasks strictly to Customer Specifications.
- Documenting time accurately for each task.
- Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to.
- Reporting any issues that hinder task performance directly to supervision.
- Maintaining quality standards while completing wiring tasks on time.
Required Experience
- Completion of an Apprenticeship in Panel Wiring or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting electrical engineering drawings.
- Expertise in preparing, crimping, terminating, and looms for wiring assemblies.
- Able to identify and communicate discrepancies in drawings to supervisory staff.
- Recognizing and reporting bad practices to supervision.
- Following test documentation and performing basic testing and fault finding.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with Tri Rated cables ranging from 0.5mm to 6mm.
Working Hours
Shifts are during the day, totaling 37 hours per week: Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4:30pm and Friday from 8am to 1pm.
