Contract Panel Wirer

About the Role

Our client, a leading engineering company, is seeking a skilled Contract Panel Wirer to join their team. This role is pivotal in wiring assemblies for electricity transmission in accordance with prescribed standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Wiring of assemblies based on Schematic Drawings and Wiring Diagrams.
• Installing components per Bill of Materials (BOM), Equipment List, and General Arrangement.
• Preparing, crimping, terminating, and loom wiring cables accurately.
• Completing wiring tasks strictly to Customer Specifications.
• Documenting time accurately for each task.
• Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to.
• Reporting any issues that hinder task performance directly to supervision.
• Maintaining quality standards while completing wiring tasks on time.

Required Experience

• Completion of an Apprenticeship in Panel Wiring or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting electrical engineering drawings.
• Expertise in preparing, crimping, terminating, and looms for wiring assemblies.
• Able to identify and communicate discrepancies in drawings to supervisory staff.
• Recognizing and reporting bad practices to supervision.
• Following test documentation and performing basic testing and fault finding.
• Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with Tri Rated cables ranging from 0.5mm to 6mm.

Working Hours

Shifts are during the day, totaling 37 hours per week: Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4:30pm and Friday from 8am to 1pm.
