Job Title: Manufacturing Production Manager
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £60,000pa
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Manager to oversee production operations with a focus on manufacturing, welding, and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in welding and assembly operations, and a proven ability to drive productivity improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all manufacturing operations
- Lead welding and assembly teams
- Monitor production schedules and workflow
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Work with engineering, quality, and procurement teams
- Manage and develop production staff
- Control inventory levels
- Analyse KPIs and performance metrics
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Production Manager in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication, welding processes, and assembly techniques
- Proven experience in leading teams, managing production schedules, and driving improvements.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in team development.
- Familiarity with health & safety regulations and quality control standards.
