Lithographic Print Assistant

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear, North East

Position: Permanent

Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour

Our client, a well-established commercial printer, is seeking a Lithographic Print Assistant to join their team. This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals with a background in print production, particularly those with experience in lithographic printing, to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with make-ready tasks, plate loading, and press setup.
• Perform wash-ups between jobs to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination.
• Manage consumables, stock levels, and ink preparation.
• Support preventative maintenance and general housekeeping.
• Monitor print quality and assist with job records and documentation.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a print production environment, specifically lithographic or UV printing.
• Basic understanding of press operations and print processes.
• Familiarity with Man Roland R706 UV press is advantageous; training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
