Overview:

  • We are seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of electrical technicians to achieve project goals while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role involves effective resource management, communicating project objectives, and fostering an environment conducive to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

    • Motivate and support team to achieve set objectives, fostering a positive environment.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to help identify areas for performance improvement.

Communication & Coordination:

    • Positively communicate the organization’s purpose, objectives, and strategies to team.
    • Attend and contribute to production meetings, discussing progress, challenges, and resources..

Project Management:

    • Allocate tasks and monitor progress to meet project timelines
    • Collaborate internally to address work order issues, including sub-contract and parts scheduling.

Resource Allocation:

    • Manage time and resources strategically to achieve project build dates and team efficiency.
    • Allocate and oversee workload distribution within the team.

Performance Development:

    • Set SMART objectives for team members aligned with the company’s vision and strategic goals.
    • Conduct employee performance development reviews.

Training & Improvement:

    • Identify training needs and maintain an up-to-date training matrix for team members.
    • Encourage continuous improvement, creativity, and innovation within the team, including the implementation and sustainability of 5C/5S practices.

Health and Safety:

    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, taking responsibility for the well-being of yourself and your team.
    • Promote a culture of safety and awareness regarding hazards in the workplace

Apprenticeship Management:

    • Oversee the training and development of apprentices in the team, providing opportunities for them to meet required qualifications.

Collaboration on Improvements:

    • Work alongside production and engineering teams on area reorganizations and layout alterations as needed.

Qualifications:

    • Time served electrical qualifications
    • Proven experience in electrical supervision or similar in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
    • Strong understanding of electrical systems, project management, and team dynamics.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of health and safety standards and practices.
    • Ability to motivate and develop team members.
    • Relevant certifications in electrical engineering or supervision are a plus.
