What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll ensure equipment operates smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities include:
Activities
- Performing reactive and proactive maintenance on plant equipment.
- Investigating equipment failures and determining root causes.
- Following strict safety protocols.
- Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Recording activities and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors
- Reporting non-conformances and seeking assistance when needed.
- Referring to technical documentation.
- Adhering to company policies and contributing to a positive work environment.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum ONC/OND/HND/HNC/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Maintenance/Electrical.
- Electrical fault-finding experience
- Heavy engineering electrical maintenance.
- AC/DC motor installation and fault-finding.
- Working with single and three-phase supplies.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of:
- PLCs and HMIs.
- Motors and drive starters.
- Pyrometry and HV switching.
- Crane maintenance.
- Qualifications like 17th Edition or MEWP/Forklift certifications.
- Experience working at height.
- Basic proficiency with MS Office applications.
