Permanent EC&I Engineer

Salary:

£38,000 basic with a performance-based quarterly bonus

Hours:

Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00

About the Role:

Our client, a global organisation, is seeking a dedicated EC&I Engineer to join their passionate team. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily routines using CMMS job sheets for maintenance, calibration, and testing of site equipment.
• Installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and instrumentation.
• Report and manage equipment defects and alarms, ensuring all unsafe items are isolated and communicated appropriately.
• Assist in planning and preparation of plant maintenance during shutdown periods.
• Manage electrical maintenance and construction schedules.
• Collaborate with the E&I Supervisor and assist in their duties, deputising where necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician.
• Knowledge in a range of electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and installation work.
• Qualifications in hazardous area working (CompEx).
• Familiarity with wiring regulations (18th edition).
• Understanding of top tier CoMAH regulations.
• Experience with various types of single term controllers and software packages or PLC logic is advantageous but not essential.
