Die Maintenance Technician

A large Manufacturing company with several sites across the UK & Europe are on the lookout for an experienced Die Maintenance Technician to join a team of Engineers based at their flagship Sunderland facility.
The purpose of this role is to maintain and develop tooling capabilities, as well as manufacture Jigs and Fixtures suitable to operate in a high-speed production environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The repair and maintenance of all Jigs, Fixtures and Tools
- Identify and correct any abnormal tool trends and escalate where necessary
- Carry our daily equipment inspections
- Assembly and dis-assembly of Jigs, Fixtures and Tools
- Produce and finish tools using hand fitting techniques
- Repair tool components by manual machining techniques
Required Skills and Experience:
- HNC/Time Served in Die Maintenance or similar
- Experience of introducing and sustaining improvements
- A methodical and logical approach to projects and tasks, creating clear documentation and requirements
