An international manufacturing business is looking for a Welding Engineer to join the team at their Sunderland site on a permanent basis.
Your Knowledge & Experience
- A proven career as a welding engineer
- Good knowledge of welding processes – MAG, TIG SMAW – along with knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO3834
- A background that’s included visual inspection of materials, welds, dimensions and painting processes
- Experience in EN1090-2 would be good, but not essential
- You will be confident using measuring equipment
- Any professional welding qualifications you have will be beneficial.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Ensuring manufacturing conformity
- Supporting the inspection of the product, including raw material and finished components at supplier premises, right through to final inspection
- Identifying any non-conformities
- Supporting with welder qualification, execution of welding repairs and the development of welding technologies.
- Supporting the auditing process both internal and external
