Pin Point Recruitment is looking for a Senior Brake Press Operator to work with in a manufacturing company based in West Thurrock
As the Senior Brake Press Operator you will be responsible for setting the brake press and training and develop junior colleagues.
Job Role:
- Set up and operate power-press machines or power-brake machines to bend, form, stretch, notch, punch and straighten metal plates and structural shapes as specified.
- To review blueprints, drawing templates and layouts and fabricate appropriate profiles accurately.
- Take ownership of brake press area. Ensuring targets and KPIs are hit
- Problem solve machine issues by contacting machine manufacture and talking through issue. Communicate upstream issues and solutions
- Ensure Quality control is maintained within Brake press area and issues are problem solved to improve standards
- Ensure health & safety standards are maintained within your work area.
- Conduct machine checking and care routines as instructed.
- Engage and use experiences to help the problem solving process.
- Act in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices
Skills Required:
- Robust experience within the metal pressing industry
- Previous experience in the capacity of a Brake Press Operator
- Has the ability to carry out instructions given by supervisors and management
- Can communicate issues and help create a learning environment for the team progress
- Understand and have previous experience operating both power-brake and power-press machines effectively and safely
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
