PROJECT MANAGER
BARNSLEY – SOUTH YORKSHIRE

SALARY TO £60,000pa
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with experience in the electronics, electrical or manufacturing sectors.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing projects focused on mitigating the risks associated with parts or materials becoming obsolete. This role requires a blend of project management skills and technical knowledge to ensure the continued functionality and availability of critical systems.
Key role outline:
- Responsible for the PM of global projects through whole life cycle collaborating with product management, senior management and other key stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, reporting effectively and retaining project momentum.
- Assigning tasks, managing engineers, technicians, and other specialists, and ensuring everyone has the resources they need.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risk.
- Project Management through an agile approach – waterfall or/and sprints.
- Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials within budget constraints.
- Operating within a highly regulated environment ensuring product compliance.
Key person requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, related field or suitable equivalent experience.
- Able to demonstrate previous experience of PM in relation to manufactured products, ideally with mechanical, electrical and electronic components.
- Proven experience in project management, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP certification).
- Experience in obsolescence management or a related field (e.g., product lifecycle management).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
