Press Maintenance Technician

  • Up to £42k inclusive of shift allowance

A Global Automotive Manufacturing company are looking for a Press Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for responding to technical issues affecting production and maintaining mechanical & electrical machinery.

The Role and Responsibilities

  • Proactively work to reduce machine downtime.
  • Maintenance on Hydraulic Power Presses
  • Setting of equipment to meet weekly production requirements.
  • Servicing, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical & electrical equipment & services in accordance with current regulations.
  • Maintaining and interrogating PLC systems (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Fanuc currently used on site)
  • Executing Planned Preventative Maintenance and provide feedback to develop systems & procedures.
  • Prioritise workload with the relevant Team Leader/Supervisor.
  • Confirm work done into Maintenance Management System complete with technical feedback

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in a Maintenance role in a busy manufacturing environment ideally within Automotive
  • Press Maintenance experience is a distinct advantage
  • Work and liaise with a range of internal departments and external suppliers.
  • Work within 5S methodology to maintain workplace to a high standard.
  • HNC/NVQ Level 3 Qualification in engineering mechanical engineering discipline
