Customs and Shipping Coordinator

An international manufacturing business are looking for an enthusiastic Customs and Shipping Coordinator to join their site in Sunderland.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the movement in the goods throughout the UK and globally.
The Role & Responsibilities

Compiling data from a variety of suppliers for import

Checking invoices for accuracy

Dealing with suppliers for any documentation amendments

Acting as the main point of contact for al hauliers and agents for customs clearance

Organising shipments to and from third party contractors

Arranging export shipping documentation i.e – customs invoice, packing list, certificate of origin
Knowledge & Experience
-
Proven previous experience in a similar role

Knowledge of UK road haulage

Awareness of dangerous goods regulations

Knowledge of oversized shipment requirements

Familiar with movement of items related to the mechanical engineering industry

Good working knowledge of ERP systems
